PLACENTA ARTS

" It makes sense that the placenta almost looks like a tree with many branches - a tree of life."
~ Ricki Lake

" When we loose one blessing, another is often most unexpectedly given in it's place. " ~ C. S. Lewis

The placenta is an organ that developes during pregnancy.
It is attached to the lining of the womb and is connected to the baby through the umbilical cord.
This special organ is what keeps your baby alive. Blood from the mother passes through the placenta and delivers oxygen and nutrients to the baby, via the umbilical cord.
After the birth of the baby, the placenta detaches and is discarded.

But there is a way to honor the important organ that kept your baby alive this whole time.

You can have artistic prints done, to remember the placenta by. And even better, you can have it encapsulated and continue experiencing the benefits of it.

Placenta Encapsulation Services

The placenta is rich in important hormones and nutrients that the postpartum mother is depleted of, such as iron. It is believed that consuming the placenta will be nourishing to the mother and will help with balancing her postpartum hormones.
The believed benefits of placenta consumption are decreased chances for postpartum mood disorders such as depression, increased milk production, pain relief, energy boost and more.

Placenta encapsulation is a process where the placenta is inspected, cleaned, steamed and sliced. It is then dehydrated, ground up, and the ground
powder is used to fill empty gelatin capsules (vegan capsules are available).

The placenta encapsulation service includes a glass jar of placenta capsules. One placenta will yield 75-200 capsules on average. You have the option to add a beautiful simple print that’s made on watercolor paper using food grade coloring or a natural food coloring ( color options are limited ).
An umbilical cord keepsake is made out of the cord, if it’s long enough. This package comes with storage and recommended use instructions.

Placenta Encapsulation Package $325
Depending on location, pick up fee may be added.
You have the option of adding a tincture for additional $50

*** The benefits of ingesting your placenta have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Your encapsulated placenta is intended for ingestion only by the mother that birthed it. There is no guarantee that the ingestion of your placenta capsules will yield the desired result(s). The Postpartum Placenta Specialist is not a licensed medical professional, and cannot make any diagnosis or suggest treatment. The client takes full responsibility for her health and the research and use of their encapsulated placenta.
