Above and Beyond Doula Care provides professional and Compassionate care to growing families.
What does that mean?
Well, our goal is to provide the type of care that will reduce fear and instill confidence in people in every stage of their parenting journey.
People are influenced by many different things… stories from their family members and friends, movies, the medical field and even their own past experience.
All of these can instill fear in some way and cause stress and uncertainty.
So how do we reduce fear and increase confidence in parents?
It’s simple, yet hard to put into words. But I’ll try.

We trust that your body will do what it knows to do.
We trust that there is a power and wisdom within you that you haven’t even discovered.

Whatever choices you make, you got our support! Choices for you pregnancy, your birth, your infant care philosophies… We have no preference. Our only preference is that you are supported in your decisions.

Education can make people feel prepared and empowered for whatever is ahead. We provide you with your options and give you space to make your own decisions. We are resourceful when it comes to information and we provide classes to further educate you and help you feel prepared.
We hear you!
We listen. We hear and we understand. We create space for you to feel whatever you feel. And we support you in the very place you’re at.

Because we are trained professionals, we provide professional services. We stay objective, we provide you with evidence based information. We are trained to stay by your side in any situation and help you feel supported and empowered.
Dominika, our primary doula has been trained and certified to be a Labor Doula and a Breastfeeding Professional through the organization Women Honoring Women.
Passionate about supporting families who had previous one or more Cesareans, Dominika pursued education and certification through The VBAC Link to have the knowledge and ability to help families achieve their VBAC and has been enjoying successfully serving families as the Certified VBAC Doula.
Understanding the challenges of the postpartum season and having a passion to support families in that season, she got trained and certified to be a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula through the organization ProDoula.
She is also currently enrolled with ProDoula in extensive childbirth education course.
With the desire to support women in all spheres of postpartum, and educating herself on the physical changes that happen after childbirth, she is aware of the affects it has on hormones and overall well being. That’s why she also got trained and certified to be a Postpartum Nutrition Coach and provide education and support to help women truly heal their bodies.
Dominika’s passion reaches beyond the scope of a doula work and she went through 6 month long extensive training and residency with the Pacific Birth Institute to become a Certified Birth Assistant to our local midwives.
Thanks to that training she gained extra certifications for HIPAA, OSHA, BLS and NRP.
Dominika is dedicated to continue her education to always offer most current information and be able to provide more and better support.
She truly goes above and beyond in everything that she does and that shows in the type of support and care she provides.

Hello!
I’m Dominika and I am the owner of AAB and currently the only primary doula.
I’ve been blessed with 4 of the cutest kids and I am thankful for every season of motherhood even though I know very well that they sometimes get tough.
Because I’ve experienced all kinds of highs and lows as a mom and have been through the beauty and the struggles of being pregnant, giving birth and the postpartum season, I am naturally very passionate about supporting other parents on this journey.
I never really planned on becoming a doula, but was always willing to be there for the people around me. It wasn’t until after my fourth baby that I realized that what I had been already doing is basically what a doula does. It all clicked and I found my calling!
So I got trained and started the journey of supporting families professionally.
Because I have been through this multiple times, I have nothing but compassion for wherever people find themselves and whatever their needs are.
And nothing brings me more joy than seeing parents feeling encouraged, empowered and brave to take on whatever is ahead of them. And maybe my support, education and care have something little to do with it. And that is what keeps me encouraged, empowered and brave to take on whatever is ahead of me!
